Families in Afghanistan, Paris,
Greece and the United States are all interconnected in various ways. These are their stories and their
interconnectedness brings to the forefront how the actions of one family member
affect all the rest, sometimes for generations.
I’m sure it is no surprise that this
was an elegantly crafted story with vivid characters and scenes. While I enjoyed his last two books, I think I
liked this one best.
