After multiple personal tragedies,
including the death of his wife, Sully Harding returns to his hometown with his
son to start over. But quiet little
Coldwater, Michigan becomes anything but quiet when a local resident receives a
phone call from heaven and spreads the word to the world. People flock to the tiny town to pray or
protest the idea of phone calls from heaven, especially when other residents
come forward that they too are hearing from people who have died.
Sully is convinced it has to be a
hoax; he knows deep down that you can’t get a phone call from heaven. He starts to investigate the calls when his
young son starts carrying around a plastic telephone because he’s waiting for a
call from his mother and it breaks his heart to know they will never hear her
voice again.
This is a mystery with an
interesting twist which takes a deep look at what would happen if these claims
were actually made. What would the media
frenzy be like? What makes a
miracle? Does it matter if something is
true or not if the result is a better, happier, existence?
